Amateur and especially competitive athletes include laser hair removal as an unavoidable step in their career.
Laser hair removal is a technique that has been medically validated and mastered for about twenty years. Our centre is equipped with 5 lasers covering all hair removal indications.
Technological advances mean that we can process any skin phototype (colour) safely and with optimum efficiency.
THE TARGET STRUCTURE:
In order for a hair to stop growing back, its bulb must be destroyed via its melanin (pigment). The laser emits a heat that will bring the temperature of the hair to 70°c and thus destroy the hair.
THE INDICATIONS :
It is important to understand on which skin type and hair type hair removal lasers can be effective.
For this, a free consultation is systematically carried out beforehand. During this session, we will check if your skin does not present any contraindications to the practice of laser and if your hair will be sensitive to the technique.
The target of the laser is the pigment (melanin) contained in the hair. Therefore, blond, red and white hair cannot be treated. In these cases, electric hair removal will remain the only technique of choice.
The human body has 3 types of hair:
- Fine hair or down,
- Intermediate hairs
- and Terminal or Thick Hair
The laser is effective on intermediate and terminal hairs. For fine and downy hair, we will use a laser specially dedicated to this indication called REVLITE with a different treatment protocol.
We do not treat patients with inflammatory skin diseases. It is absolutely recommended not to have taken the sun in the month before the session.
Like all medical techniques, there is no such thing as zero risk. However, these side effects are extremely rare (pain, tingling, rarely burns, hyper or hypo pigmentation). The very high technology used in lasers is totally safe.
Patients at the Centre are treated only by licensed physicians. Depending on the area treated, the session varies from 15 minutes for a bikini to 3 hours for complete legs, bikini, armpits, arms ... During the session, we can treat as many areas as you wish and which will be validated during the preliminary assessment.
The laser center is equipped with a skin cooling system that anesthetizes the skin at the same time as the laser shots are performed. The sensitivity of the sessions is quite tolerable.
At the end of the session, the laser doctor will apply a soothing cream.
Depending on the quality of the hair, the doctor will determine the length of time between sessions. This varies between 4 weeks for the face and 6 to 7 weeks for the body.
An average of 6 sessions are necessary to fully satisfy your request. Some cases may require fewer sessions and others more.
In order to guarantee total safety, we would like to remind you that we do not treat patients who have been exposed to the sun or UV rays during the month prior to the session.
The complete treatment is spread over one year, taking into account the number of sessions, the time between sessions and holiday breaks. There is therefore no ideal period to start the sessions.
- Comfort sessions: Patients who do not wish or cannot follow a complete treatment can have a session 15 days before their holidays, guaranteeing peace of mind for 2 months after the session.
- Young men: The laser is to be started after the end of puberty. For those (under 16 years old) who wish to reduce their hair despite everything, we propose the REVLITE laser which is a down treatment laser with an efficiency over several months.
